Birmingham-based publishers, The Book Chief was chosen as Book Publishing Company of The Year 2023 by the Innovation & Excellence Awards via Corporate Livewire which also hosts the Prestige Awards.
Founder and Owner of The Book Chief, Sharon Brown was approached by Corporate Livewire as a nominee and was subsequently chosen by an Independent Panel of Judges after her application highlighted the collaborative working environment she has created to benefit her entrepreneurial colleagues, and to recognise the business growth she has seen in the past 20 months.
Made up of solo entrepreneurs, The Book Chief’s team provides a one-stop-shop for all self-publishing authors and it has a special niche in collaborative books too, allowing small business owners to become lead or co-authors, building credibility and aligning with their industries. Self-publishing enables authors to retain full creative control over the book’s content, formatting, and cover design. The Book Chief complements its services by housing a magazine to further promote its authors and anyone who wishes to take part, called the Authors Rising Magazine.
The Book Chief offers more than publishing books. With an author’s community set up, it’s a friendly, open and approachable publishing house which welcomes authors from everywhere. To date The Book Chief has published over 250 authors and this trend looks set to continue with many more authors signing up to their affordable services. It also hosts an exclusive anniversary gathering each year to get together and celebrate the accomplishments of each author.
